Bang n’ Blues Returns to Lindy’s Landing for 2nd Year with Live Music, Exceptional Food, and Family Fun

WAUCONDA, IL, JULY 11, 2015 –

Lindy’s Landing, a popular beach marina bar on Bang’s Lake, is hosting the 2nd Annual “Bang n’ Blues” festival this coming weekend.

The family-friendly festival commemorates two milestones for the beach-side bar: 50 years since first opening in 1965, as well as 35 years since serving as the location for several memorable scenes in the 1980 Blues Brothers film.

Live music, Southern BBQ, and a backdrop of Bang’s Lake are just a few reasons to head to Lindy’s for its weekend celebration.

The blues-based musical lineup consists of Liz Mandeville, Kevin Purcell and the Nightburners, The Bluz Brothers Band, and culminating with Delta Pines. Food options consist of a Sunday Gospel brunch and Southern BBQ.

For admission, $5.00 gives guests full access to Bang n’ Blues all weekend long. Proceeds from Bang n’ Blues go to the Bangs Lake Advisory Committee, which oversees the lake’s conservation efforts.

Additional details about Bang n’ Blues weekend can be found on the Lindy’s Landing website or by contacting Reservations for the Sunday Gospel Brunch can be made by calling (847) 526-9789.
